Bluegrass Animal Welfare League: Lexington, Ky. Spay/neuter coupons and sponsors HSUS Kind News in local schools. Donations go to the above programs. BAWL is always in need of volunteers for their fundraisers. Call 859/266-5852.

Holly's Place Animal Rescue rescues special needs dogs and cats from shelters, seeks to network and bring other rescue groups and individuals together through the KY Animal Rescue Alliance Listserv. It also maintains a low income and feral cat spay/neuter program. See their Wish List on their website at www.hollys.org

Home At Last Animal Sanctuary in Lawrenceburg, Ky. Many species of farm animals and companion animals have found refuge here. Supplies and food items are always welcomed as well as adoptive homes. Please visit their website at www.homeatlastanimals.org

Wolf Run Nature Sanctuary: Located at 7376 Old US 27 South, in Nicholasville, KY 40356 is looking for $$ donations for the construction of privacy fencing, trees, plants, canopies for shade.  Also need 4x4 and 2x4 lumber, plywood, large new doghouses, paintbrushes, paper towels, chain link panels, bowls, leashes, tubs for the animals water, large garbage cans with lockable tops, a good ladder, gravel, gravel, and more gravel, sacrete, fresh chicken and beef, fresh vegetables and fruit, alfalfa, dried corn, someone to build a small barn, mulch, straw, and an electricians help.
