The Kentucky Coalition for Animal Protection, Inc. (KCAP) is formed to bring about positive change and improvement in the welfare and treatment of non-human animals throughout the Commonwealth.
We seek to:
Foster a spirit of cooperation among the humane community
Integrate and focus humane efforts throughout the Commonwealth
Establish avenues of communication with the Kentucky General Assembly to support the introduction and passage of legislation aimed at improving conditions for all animals throughout the Commonwealth.
Support federal legislation which seeks to advance animal welfare and advocacy.
We wish to encourage the recognition of non-human animals as sentient living beings and therefore deserving the rights which derive from this condition including protection from human abuse and exploitation.
