KY COALITION FOR ANIMAL PROTECTION ANNOUNCES AN EVENT FOR THIS
SATURDAY, JANUARY 24TH: KCAP'S CONFERENCE FOR THE ANIMALS 2004

Please
see the full agenda below. There is no fee or charge at all. This
is part of KCAPs efforts and mission to encourage information
and networking. We will have several experienced shelter/rescue
people, including Andy McDowel of
the Ky Animal Care and Control Assoc) and the legislators who
have demonstrated interest and support in animal welfare issues.
Sen Buford sponsored the felony cruelty bill and spay/neuter license
plate; and Rep Roger Thomas has been active with the revisions
of animal control laws which include
a provision for "no gunshot" as a form of shelter euthanasia.
In addition, we may have a visitor from Charleston, West Virginia
come in to discuss collection of county dog license fees.
