MISSION STATEMENT

 

The Kentucky Coalition for Animal Protection, Inc. (KCAP) is formed to bring about positive change and improvement in the welfare and treatment of non-human animals throughout the Commonwealth.

 

We seek to:

• Foster a spirit of cooperation among the humane community
• Integrate and focus humane efforts throughout the Commonwealth
• Establish avenues of communication with the Kentucky General Assembly to support the introduction and passage of legislation aimed at improving conditions for all animals throughout the Commonwealth.
• Support federal legislation which seeks to advance animal welfare and advocacy.

We wish to encourage the recognition of non-human animals as sentient living beings and therefore deserving the rights which derive from this condition including protection from human abuse and exploitation.
